Day 2: Step By Step School & Akshardam

Today, school started with us learning about where India is in the world. Some of us learnt about first aid.

Next was a special performance put up by students from Step By Step School, mainly for their parents to see. We saw different performances about the different states of India. We were greeted with colourful costumes and props! It was an eye opener for us!

After the special performance, we went for 3 different workshops, pottery pinching, pottery wheel activity, and art and craft activity. You can tell if we enjoyed ourselves from the pictures! ;P

Then, we went to Akshardam with big, beautiful, spectacular hand-crafted buildings done by 7000 craftsmen! It was such a waste that photos could not be taken due to security reasons. We saw the journey and life of Lord Swaminarayan. We also went on a boat ride to see the history of India. On the way home, most of us fell asleep as we had a long but fulfiling day. More excitement about Day 1! =D

Hi there! It is 8.40am here now! Here are more photos from yesterday. It started with an orientation. Then, we introduced ourselves and joined the different classes. Some of us liked the Science class, Maths class, English class, while others liked the playground, food, making new friends etc. Now, let the pictures do the talking!

Then, we proceeded to Dilli Haat for shopping! Some of us bought handmade bags, while others bought the handmade pens, and scarf.

At the end of the day, we felt tired, yet happy and satisfied! After showering and writing our journals, we 'jumped' straight to bed! zzzzzzzzZZZZZZZ

Greetings from India!

Greetings from Step By Step School at Noida!! It's our 2nd day in India! Time seemed to pass so fast! Yesterday, we said goodbye to our family members having mixed feelings. We were feeling excited, happy, nervous, worried....so many feelings! Mdm Aslinah and Ms Huzaima came down to send us off as well. Here are some photos.

After a few hours sleep, we were all set for breakfast at our house in Noida, before we took a bus to Step By Step School. Now we are in different classes, joining in their lessons. Starting with some photos for now..... :)
